Standard 7 Level One Science – Coming Soon P150.00

About Course
Course Overview
This Standard 7 Science course offers students an exciting journey through the foundational branches of science—biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science—by encouraging curiosity, observation, experimentation, and real-world application.
The course begins with an exploration of the Nature of Science, where students learn how scientists investigate the world through observation, questioning, hypothesis testing, and data analysis. They also examine the critical role of Technology in Science, understanding how tools, machines, and innovations have advanced scientific knowledge and improved daily life.
Environmental awareness is emphasized through the study of The Environment, where students explore ecosystems, biodiversity, pollution, and human impact. This links with the biology units on Plants and Animals, where learners delve into life processes, structures, adaptations, and the interdependence of living things.
The importance of water as a life-sustaining resource is explored in the Water unit, where students investigate water sources, states of matter, filtration, and conservation. Beyond Earth, the Solar System topic fuels imagination and scientific thinking as students learn about planets, moons, gravity, and orbits.
The Matter topic introduces students to the building blocks of the physical world, while Chemistry deepens their understanding by exploring elements, compounds, mixtures, and the changes substances undergo. In the Energy section, students learn about different forms of energy—including Renewable Energy and Heat Energy—and how energy affects matter and daily life.
The course also includes human biology topics such as The Eye and The Ear, teaching students how the body receives and processes light and sound, and how we experience the world through our senses. This course builds scientific literacy and inspires students to think like young scientists.
